About
Hi, I’m Victor - nuclear engineer by study, software engineer professionally, and dabbling into photography mostly by accident.
My experience with proper, dedicated photography started on film, in 2022, while in Cambridge for my masters graduation. Back then, the reasoning behind opting for film over digital was that shooting 35mm film seemed to be cheaper than buying a full frame camera. I was very wrong. That said, the understanding gained from shooting film manually, on gear over half a century old, was just the baptism by fire needed to keep the good thing going. In 2024, I transitioned into digital photography and after 2 years of shooting on APS-C, I made the jump to GFX medium format.
My main focus is dramatised quasi-documentarian street photography, but I enjoy experimentation. While I would say that my work is driven by the emotion the scene conveys, I enjoy broadening my technical skill through stacked astrophotography, flash photography, long exposure, multi-exposure, and macrophotography. I'm keen to collaborate on interesting projects so feel free to reach out through my contact form. In the meantime, you are welcome to browse through my portfolio, and check in from time to time for new works!
